Beaver State Fling 2010
“Paige Pierce continues her disc golf ascent and leads the women’s open division after one roundwith a three throw cushion over the impressive list of second-placers, Liz Carr, Valarie Jenkins, and Des Reading. The women will play both an early morning andlate afternoon round, which will sandwich the mens open mid-day soiree. Pierce, a native of Plano, Texas, is enjoying her first year as a full-time professional after placing third as an advanced amateur in last year’s PDGA World Championships.”
“ In Estacada, Oregon, the Men’s and Women’s Open titles all came down to the final hole of the final round of the 2010 Beaver State Fling PDGA National Tour event. Liz Carr found herself suddenly in the lead just one hole after carding a six on hole 16 of the challenging East Course at Milo McIver State Park. And she responded with solid par-3s on holes 17 and 18 to bring home her second 2010 PDGA National Title crown, besting the emerging Texas phenom, Paige Pierce by a throw.”
Just a couple of interesting quotes from the front page of the PDGA web site.., Paige finished in 2nd place with a $765.00 pay out.
The Ultra Glide played in the Province of British Columbia in Canada merited Paige another close finish and 2nd place finish..,congrats Paige for your continued success and Get D-Q’ed!
